    A meeting of All India Congree Committee was held in Bombay on 7 August 1942. And on August 8, the famous ''Quit India'' resolution was passed. This meeting at Bombay was one of the most remarkable gatherings. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru moved the resolution and Sardar Patel seconded it.
